Xebia is an innovative IT consultancy known for its forward-thinking and energetic working environment. Their office is a place where creativity and collaboration take centre stage, and they wanted their interior design to reflect this ethos.
Greenery for ambiance and structure
For the redesign of their workspaces, we were commissioned to create a planting scheme that both enhances the atmosphere and serves a functional purpose. The challenge was to build an open, inspiring workplace within the existing layout of walls and furniture. The goal was a vibrant 'urban jungle' style: bold and dynamic, matching Xebia's corporate DNA.
From design to delivery
Through several consultation rounds with Xebia, we identified where greenery would deliver maximum impact. This resulted in a bespoke planting scheme fully aligned with the look and feel of their office.
Robust planters and large green foliage were selected to create an authentic urban jungle feel. Mobile industrial plant screens provide subtle partitions between workstations while preserving the open-plan atmosphere.
The result
The office spaces have been transformed into an inspiring environment where greenery, bold materials, and functional elements come together seamlessly. The plants introduce structure and visual calmness while maintaining a sense of openness. The result is a lively, characterful 'urban jungle' that perfectly suits Xebia's identity.
Research by Ambius and the University of Technology Sydney shows that, under controlled conditions, plants interact with volatile organic compounds such as petrol fumes.
In collaboration with the University of Groningen, Ambius discovered that workplace plants contribute to higher satisfaction, improved concentration, and positive support during daily task execution.
Research by Wageningen Environmental Research indicates that plants enhance the workplace experience, increase relative humidity, and support overall working comfort.
