Our vision on Social Return

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), including Social Return, forms an integral part of our core business strategy. We strive for a harmonious balance between people, the environment, and responsible business operations.

Social Return starts with a robust HR strategy and strong leadership. As an engaged employer, we ensure safe, positive working conditions, provide continuous support to our workforce, and offer diverse training opportunities. At Ambius, employee development is an ongoing, structured process.

Equal opportunities and participation

To promote employment for individuals facing barriers to the labour market, we partner with specialized placement organizations and social enterprises.

A central element of this effort is our long-standing collaboration with Stichting Zozijn, an organization dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities participate meaningfully in society. At Ambius, a dedicated group of participants from Zozijn assists daily with assembling planters and preparing materials for interior landscaping projects. During peak seasonal periods, this group expands to help prepare and organize holiday decorations. Ambius staff and specialized job coaches from Zozijn provide dedicated, on-the-job support every day.

Additionally, we regularly offer practical work experience placements and internships to students from special education and vocational training schools. In our logistics centre, students gain valuable hands-on experience by preparing plant containers and processing interior foliage.

Social Return in practice

Currently, an average of 10 participants from Stichting Zozijn work in our Greenhouse in Duiven. Approximately 25% of candidates entering through this program have successfully transitioned into regular, direct employment within our organization.

All team members work with a personal development plan and receive tailored coaching. Furthermore, Ambius is an officially certified learning company for standard and special education, actively contributing to a sustainable and inclusive labor market.
