A Vertical Garden Enhancing Well-Being

Nij Smellinghe Hospital is a leading regional hospital in Drachten, providing high-quality, patient-centered care to people in Northeast Netherlands. The hospital is known for its modern facilities, patient-focused approach, and commitment to health and wellbeing.

Greenery for a Warm Welcome

The project was carried out on the first floor of the Women & Children Outpatient Clinic. The striking vertical garden offers visitors a warm welcome while also indicating the walkway to the waiting area.

From Concept to Realisation

The greenwall was carefully integrated into the interior to give the space a green, healthy, and environmentally friendly appearance. Its vertical design optimises the use of space while adding a fresh, natural atmosphere to the room.

The Result

The vertical garden creates an inviting and calming environment. Visitors experience a pleasant reception, while the greenwall contributes to the healthy and fresh image of both the department and the hospital as a whole.
