Broekhuis is a family-owned company that has been a trusted partner in mobility since 1932. In addition to its head office in Putten, Broekhuis operates around 50 branches representing various car brands.
Greenery for a Warm Welcome
For the new head office in Harderwijk, we were asked to contribute to the planting plan as part of the architect’s design. The goal was to create natural partitions and give the entrance a welcoming, homely feel.
From Concept to Realisation
In collaboration with Broekhuis, we identified the areas where greenery would have the most impact. Clusters of plants and planter boxes were used to form subtle divisions while maintaining openness. A moss wall was also installed to create a warm and inviting first impression for visitors.
The Result
The entrance and reception areas have been transformed into a homely, inviting environment where greenery and functional elements work in harmony. The plants and moss wall provide structure, enhance atmosphere, and bring a touch of nature indoors, perfectly reflecting Broekhuis’s friendly and approachable identity.
Research by Ambius and the University of Technology Sydney shows that plants effectively help remove petrol fumes and other harmful pollutants from indoor air.
In collaboration with the University of Groningen, Ambius discovered that plants at work increases satisfaction, improves concentration, and boosts productivity by up to 15%.
Research by Wageningen Environmental Research shows that plants enhance workplace well-being, increase humidity levels, and help reduce absenteeism.
