Clean drinking water for everyone
Access to clean drinking water is something many take for granted, yet millions worldwide still lack a safe, reliable supply. This shortage severely impacts global health, education, and daily life. To help address this critical issue, Ambius has partnered with the Made Blue Foundation since 2018, supporting initiatives that deliver safe drinking water to communities where it is needed most.
Our responsibility in action
We believe that meaningful corporate social responsibility requires concrete, transparent action. By linking our daily operations directly to water development projects, we integrate social impact into our core services. Programs such as our "litre-for-a-litre" matching initiative and seasonal festive donations provide direct support to this cause.
Litre for a litre
For every litre of water used to care for our clients' interior plants, averaging 70 litres per planter each year, we donate an equal volume of clean drinking water to water-scarce communities through Made Blue.
Tree for a tree
During the festive season, every Christmas tree rented through Ambius triggers a donation of 2,000 litres of drinking water, matching the average volume required for cultivation and care.
Our measurable impact
Through our ongoing partnership with the Made Blue Foundation, Ambius has enabled the donation of 172,449,666 litres of clean drinking water to date - including over 16 million litres in 2025 alone. This contribution provides 2,362 people with reliable access to safe drinking water for a minimum of 10 years.
Beyond direct water access, these projects deliver wider environmental and community benefits. Access to a clean local water source reduces the need to boil water using wood fires, helping mitigate local deforestation and indoor air pollution.
With these water donations, we are giving concrete effect to SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, one of the United Nations’ key Sustainable Development Goals. This goal focuses on ensuring access to safe drinking water and promoting efficient water management.
