Responsible choices for a reduced environmental impact

We are convinced that sustainable change begins with concrete action. That is why we have established various initiatives to reduce our environmental footprint and contribute to a better world. These initiatives extend beyond our day-to-day operations; they reflect our commitment to responsible business practices and supporting social causes. By collaborating with partners and making strategic decisions, we are building a future centered on minimizing our ecological impact.

Local support centers

With nine strategically located hubs for local supply, we can deliver quickly and efficiently to our customers. This setup helps reduce the environmental impact of transportation while ensuring reliable and fast service.

From cultivation to compost

Circular and environmentally conscious practices lie at the heart of our service. Ambius focuses on responsible choices throughout the entire lifecycle of our plants - from cultivation and procurement to maintenance, reuse, and composting.

Made Blue

Ambius partners with Made Blue to mirror the water used to care for its plants with water provided in developing countries. Litre for litre: every planter from Ambius directly supports investment in clean drinking water projects.

Electric vehicle fleet

Our electric fleet plays a crucial role in reducing the environmental impact of our transport operations. By deploying electric vehicles, we lower CO2 emissions and actively shrink our operational footprint.

100% renewable energy

Our greenhouse and office run entirely on green energy. We harness renewable sources and innovative technologies to operate efficiently while keeping our environmental impact to a minimum.

In-house greenhouse

Thanks to our own greenhouse, we maintain full control over the growing conditions of our plants. This enables us to work efficiently, minimize waste, and optimize cultivation in an environmentally responsible way.

Biological pest control

By employing biological pest control, we tackle pests naturally. This reduces dependence on chemical pesticides, eases the strain on local ecosystems, and supports biodiversity.

Waste seperation

We are committed to circular material use through meticulous waste segregation and processing. Organic waste is composted and reused, while other materials such as plastic, paper, and glass are fully recycled.

Dow Jones Sustainability Index

As part of Rentokil Initial, Ambius has been listed on the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) for 8 consecutive years. This places us among the top 10% best-performing companies globally for CSR performance and sustainable business.

Nationale Nederlanden coalition

Ambius collaborates with the Sustainable FM Coalition to advance future-proof facility management, develop innovative solutions, create environmentally responsible working environments, and actively contribute to the transition toward circular, energy-efficient operations.

From clothing to picnic table

Ambius clothing is made from recycled PET bottles. When the garments are worn out or no longer wearable, they are collected and sent back to the supplier, who transforms them into new products such as insulation materials and picnic tables made from recycled materials.

Green Return

Plants that are returned and still suitable receive a second life through our Green Return programme. In our greenhouse, they are carefully tended, pruned, nourished, and refurbished before being redeployed in other projects.
