AUGUST 2026 - Making a difference together: that is what Ambius is all about. To put this into practice, our employees were invited to vote for four community charities during our annual event at the Aviodrome. We have since had the pleasure of presenting the cheques.

We are immensely proud to be able to make a valuable contribution in this way to the wonderful work these organisations carry out every single day.

1. Stichting Ambulance Wens: €1,075.97

Fulfilling a very last wish often brings a glimmer of light during an intensely dark time. Founded nearly 20 years ago by Kees Veldboer and nowadays run by his son, Stichting Ambulance Wens (Ambulance Wish Foundation) makes this possible for immobile and terminally ill patients. And that around 2,000 times a year.

Behind these impressive figures is a close-knit and passionate team of 365 volunteers (including nurses, photographers, and drivers with a background in the police or ambulance service). Team members beautifully describe their dedication themselves: "It doesn't feel like work here, but like a hobby."

Thanks to our donation, the foundation can fully fund and fulfil at least one more special last wish.

2. Stichting Jarige Job: €584.68

For many children in the Netherlands, celebrating a birthday is not something that can be taken for granted. For 16 years, Stichting Jarige Job has been changing this by distributing birthday boxes to children aged 1 to 18 from low-income families. The foundation works in close partnership with the local food bank.

Every year, around 183,000 festive packages are packed by 15 permanent staff members and over 150 dedicated volunteers, who describe their work as collaborating within "one big family". With our donation, we are bringing immediate joy to 17 families with an unforgettable birthday.

3. Stichting DierenLot: €924.66

Stichting DierenLot has been committed to helping animals in need for 21 years, supporting over 300 local animal welfare organisations across the Netherlands. Before receiving financial support, organisations undergo thorough screening and certification as an 'Accredited DierenLot Beneficiary'.

With a close team of 30 permanent staff members, DierenLot raises funds for animal ambulances, improving animal enclosures, and running the DierenLot Academy. Through this Academy, volunteers take part in a wide variety of training courses (from driving skills to emergency first aid, administration, and the care of various animals).

With our contribution, DierenLot can once again provide many animals in need with the right care and protection.

4. Natuurmonumenten

Natuurmonumenten was also chosen by our staff as one of the four worthy causes. Every day, they work tirelessly to conserve and protect Dutch nature, biodiversity, and cherished landscapes.

The cheque for Natuurmonumenten will be officially presented at a later date.

Making a difference together

It was inspiring to see the immense love, care, and passion with which all these organisations operate. We would like to extend our warmest thanks to all our colleagues for casting their votes during the kick-off.
